SUSHISAMBA

I swear, one day, I’m going to plan an entire trip based on restaurants and architecture. This place is going to the top of the list. I’m most in love with the London location. SUSHISAMBA has an atmosphere I really want to experience first hand. I’m in love the the tree integrated with the bar and I bet it has the most amazing view.

I love the clean, contemporary lines of the seating and the graffiti as art. The way the architects incorporated plexi stairs and a multicolored plexi wall is inspired and fun.

Light + Sculpture

I found this website for a light and sculpture artist, Bruce Munro. I absolutely fell in love with the little lights sticking out of the ground, like lite up grass. Lighting is one of my favorite elements in interior design, because of it transforming properties. It can set a mood or convey a tone. Take a look and be inspired.

Colorful Quilt

As an avid crafter, I am in love with this quilt and even the styling of this little space. I am in love with the colors and shapes of this quilt and the way it compliments the chair. The design comes from The Apartment. When I saw this picture, I fell in love with the clean lines, bold colors, and calming while at the same time exciting feel. This beautiful quilt is inspiring me to finish the quilt i started nearly 8 years ago.

The Universe

This creative, imaginative, mind-blowing website lets you scroll through the universe. It brings a visual representation to the relative size of all the objects. Once you click start, all you do is scroll back and forth to learn.

Welcome

Thanks for visiting. Come. Be inspired. This blog is to inspire me and you. I will share great work from others, so that it can elicit great work from us.

Trace

I found this article on a very cool, new app for iPad that helps architects and interior designers (like myself) sketch. I haven’t had a chance to try it, but being able to trace, draw, and share designs seems like forward thinking. Imagine, being able to immediately edit something a team member has done while on the train. Or working together on one drawing during a conference.
